I hate to say it but it is time to say goodbye to the UFC's Chuck Liddell. Having lost four of his last five fights, Liddell is clearly past his prime and nowhere near being a contender again in the light heavyweight division. UFC President Dana White as much as said Liddell was done if he lost.
Liddell, nicknamed the Iceman, was one of the greatest champions in UFC history and a big part of making MMA what it is today. His legenday wins over Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture and Renato "Babalu" Sobral will long remain in the minds of MMA fans. Unfortunately, so will the knockout losses to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Rashad Evans and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
Thank you for everything you have done for MMA Chuck. Thank you for being a great champion and a positive influence in the sport. Your trademark mohawk and thundering right will never be forgotten and you will be sorely missed inside the octagon. We look forward to seeing your induction into the UFC Hall of Fame.
