Freecycle Your Old Stuff

Have you ever wanted to get rid of that old item in the garage but didn't think it was worth the time and research required to post it on eBay? Maybe you needed something for your home or kids but money was tight and everything you could find on Craigslist was too expensive? Well, there is an alternative for you. It is called Freecycle.

Freecycle is a non-profit organization designed to allow people to search for or offer items for free. That's right! Everything on the site is free! Additionally, there are no listing fees or final value fees and no negotiations over the price. Everything is completely free!

All you have to do to start freecycling is go to http://www.freecycle.org/ , find a user group (the site is divided into user groups, generally by city or geographical area) and sign-up by using your e-mail. Then you can search through your local group for things you may need or post things that you are looking to get rid of. It is really that easy!

Now, some of you may be thinking, what can I possibly get for free? Well, a quick look through the Fort Worth, TX user group found people giving away a couch, cats, a dog, a dishwasher and a hot tub! For those of you who think nobody would want your old stuff, people were searching for everything from a blender, to living room furniture, to children's clothes to moving boxes!

So, if there is something you need but cannot afford or something you no longer need but would like to get rid of, give Freecycle a try. Enjoy!
